Although we are centered in Neenah, we have members from Appleton, Neenah, Kimberly, Green Bay, and more! Started in November of 1997, we are one of the oldest and largest Venturing crews in the Bay-Lakes Council. Check out our membership growth chart and the Crew 9213 Bylaws. To join, you need to be either 15 years old, or 14 AND have completed the eighth grade. Youth membership goes up to your 21st birthday. Our yearly dues are $24.00 which covers registration with the BSA, insurance, and basic operation costs such as postage. If you are already registered with a troop or another crew, it's only $12.00. In either case, it's prorated based on when you join. Outings are paid for as they occur and we try to have a mixture of day trips, weekend trips, and week long (or more) outings to match your interests, and your finances.

We have had, and will continue to
have, a wide range of high adventure activities (like those illustrated and
listed above) to meet the interests of our registered youth. And the adults get
to have fun too!
Afraid that you can't fit
this into your busy schedule? Not to worry! We only meet once per month, usually
the first Sunday of the month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the first portion
devoted to skills instruction that the youth suggest (for example, basic knots).
And we don't have regularly scheduled meetings during June, July, or August
(although you might find some of us out on the rivers, or hanging from cliffs
outdoors). The rest of the meeting is typically spent on planning for our next
outings. Afterwards, we can take advantage of discounted climbing and we even
have our own crew climbing equipment so there is no need to rent! As for the
outings, you get to pick and choose what activities to join in on, depending on
your interests and calendar.
Youth
leaders are in charge of running the meetings, planning the events, and making
our crew meet your needs. Elections are typically held in May with terms running
from September through August. Positions include: President, Administrative
Vice-President, Program Vice-President, Treasurer, Quartermaster (in charge of
our equipment), Consumption Coordinators (these people are in charge of food for
meetings and outings....Very important!), and School Liaisons for each school
represented by our membership. The adults are there to support and advise the
youth.
